The Shura Council took part Wednesday in the preparatory meeting for the sixth conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments, set to be held Saturday in Egypt's capital of Cairo. HE Shura Council Member Dr. Ahmed bin Hamad Al Mohanadi represented the Council in the meeting. The meeting discussed the draft document to be issued by the conference, which will include an Arab parliamentary vision for a safe employment of Artificial Intelligence (AI). HE Al Mohanadi highlighted the need to find a mechanism to bring back Arab AI experts abroad, reintegrate them into society and leverage their expertise in Arab countries, a proposal highly commended by the attendees. Highlighting the State of Qatar's efforts in the area of cybersecurity, His Excellency discussed the national strategy for cybersecurity, which emphasizes the safe use of AI.
