Baghdad, The Iraqi parliamentary delegation, headed by Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah, met in Italy with the head of the Parliamentary Group for the Mediterranean and Middle East (GSM), Fernando Gutierrez. A statement by his office stated that during the meeting, a number of issues and files of common interest were discussed, including the geopolitical repercussions of the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East region, and the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war on food security and the global economy. The head of the delegation stressed Iraq's keenness to support international endeavors and efforts to enhance stability in the region and the world, confront challenges and mitigate tensions and the effects of conflicts, disputes and military wars.
