Several Suffocate Due to Israeli Army Teargas in Southern West Bank Village.

al-Khader: Several Palestinians suffocated Wednesday evening due to Israeli army teargas in al-Khader town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, according to local sources. They reported that the occupation forces entered the town, where they deployed near the local mosque and the Tell area, while firing numerous concussion grenades and teargas canisters towards the villagers, resulting in multiple suffocations. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, leading to clashes with residents. These raids, which also take place in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted without a need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in line with its broad arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
