Gaza: At least seven Palestinians were killed and others injured following Israeli airstrikes targeting Khan Younis and Al-Bureij refugee camp in southern and central Gaza.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, three individuals lost their lives in an Israeli strike near Abu Hamid roundabout in central Khan Younis amidst ongoing bombardment across the Strip. In Al-Bureij camp, a strike on a residential home belonging to the Abu Sel family in Block 12 claimed the lives of two brothers, Bashar Kamal Abu Sel and Bayan Kamal Abu Sel, leaving several others wounded, adding to the growing list of daily incidents affecting civilians.

In another incident, two Palestinians, Mohammad Mazen Basala and Amer Sami Al-Sweirki, were killed and dozens injured when Israeli forces opened fire near the Shakoush aid distribution point in northern Rafah. This new assault targeted civilians waiting for humanitarian assistance.

Additionally, two children, Yousef Al-Safadi from northern Gaza and Abdul Hamid Al-Ghalban from Khan Younis, succumbed to severe malnutrition and starvation, as reported by medical sources in the area. The health sector is under significant strain due to ongoing sieges, lacking essential supplies, medication, and staff.

Medical officials have further reported that 23 more individuals, including children, have died over the past 48 hours across Gaza due to famine and hunger-related complications. Israeli restrictions continue to impede the flow of food and medical aid into the region.

As per the latest but still incomplete casualty figures, the total death toll from Israel's ongoing military actions in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached 59,029, primarily affecting women and children, with at least 142,135 others injured.
