The Diyala Police Command implemented security practices to impose the rule of law within the governorate. Colonel Haitham Al-Shammari, the media spokesman for the Diyala Police Command, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that security formations from the Diyala Police implemented security practices to pursue wanted persons and impose the rule of law. He added that the security practices resulted in the arrest of a number of violators and the seizure of vehicles and motorcycles that did not carry identification papers.
