Sana’a University holds Joint event for Prophet’s birthday

SANA'A - SABA: Sana'a University's Faculty of Dentistry and College of Agriculture, along with the University Student Forum, held a combined event on Monday to celebrate the Prophet's birthday, welcome new students, and honor top achievers. At the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Khaled Wahban highlighted the significance of the Prophet's birthday as a time to draw lessons from his life and teachings. Wahban emphasized that the celebration serves to remind the nation of the Prophet's struggle, virtues, and the importance of adhering to his example. Dr. Ali Sharaf al-Din, a Professor of Educational Planning, echoed these sentiments, stressing the spiritual and moral value of the occasion in strengthening the connection to the Prophet and his message. Mohammed Nasiri, representing the University Student Forum, noted the special honor Yemen holds as a nation blessed with faith and wisdom, underscoring the importance of celebrating the Prophet's birth with joy and gratitude. The event featured poetry and expressiv e segments, concluding with the presentation of awards to top students. The College of Agriculture's event, attended by Vice Chairman for Graduate Studies Dr. Ibrahim Luqman and Dean Dr. Adel al-Washli, also celebrated the Prophet's birthday while welcoming new students and honoring academic excellence. Dr. al-Washli spoke about the Prophet's role in guiding humanity from ignorance to enlightenment, and the importance of following his example in educational and practical aspects of life. Cultural activist Osama al-Muhatwari highlighted the Prophet's transformative impact on the Arabian Peninsula and criticized attempts to overshadow his legacy. Student Ibrahim Qalila, representing the University Student Forum, emphasized that celebrating the Prophet's birthday reflects deep reverence and joy for his teachings and legacy.
