Salfit: 282 violations by the occupation and its settlers during the past month

Bethlehem Ma'an - Salfit Governor, Major General Dr. Abdullah Kamil, announced today, Tuesday, that the Israeli occupation army and its settlers carried out 282 violations against citizens and their property in the governorate during the month of August, which were monitored and documented by the governorate institution. Kamil explained that the policy of uprooting trees, raids, barriers, closures, raiding homes, bulldozing and confiscating lands was the highest. Kamil explained that according to the monthly Israeli violations monitoring report, the occupation army targets the villages and towns of the governorate on a daily basis, where it carried out 86 raids, raided 32 homes and facilities, and set up 40 temporary checkpoints. The report monitored 30 operations to close the entrances to towns and villages with iron gates repeatedly, under flimsy pretexts, and to satisfy the demands of the settlers, and uprooted and broke 190 olive trees in Deir Istiya, Yasuf and Deir Ballut. The report documented settle r attacks, as it monitored 18 attacks on citizens' property, 10 army attacks, 7 acts of vandalism, theft and burning of property, and physical assault on 8 citizens, some of whom were transferred to medical centers to receive treatment. The report documented 3 bulldozing operations of citizens' lands in Iskaka, Yasouf and Deir Istiya, with an area of ??36 dunums, and the confiscation of 35 dunums of Deir Istiya lands, in order to expand and build residential units on them. The report monitored the delivery of 7 notices to stop work and construction in Deir Ballut, Qaraweh Bani Hassan, Burqin, Deir Istiya, Haris and Rafat, and the confiscation and theft of 14 vehicles while working in different areas under the pretext that they are classified as Area C. Kamil added that the occupation army arrested and detained 21 citizens after they passed through the checkpoints and raided their homes. The report monitored two demolition operations of a garage and a car wash in Deir Ballut under the pretext that they occur red in areas classified as C. Kamil pointed out that the occupation aims through its practices to implement its strategic plans, which are to empty the Palestinians from their land and displace them, and despite that, our people are steadfast and rooted in their land.
