Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange index rose by 0.54 percent at the start of Sunday's trading session, adding 53.05 points to reach a level of 9869.35 points compared to the previous session's close, supported by most sectors. The positive performance of the stock exchange was attributed to the transportation sector, which increased by 1.35 percent, the communications sector by 0.84 percent, the banking and financial services sector by 0.55 percent, the goods and consumer services sector by 0.54 percent, the insurance sector by 0.50 percent, and the industrial sector by 0.31 percent. However, the real estate sector decreased by 0.02 percent. At 10:00 AM, the QSE recorded transactions worth QR 53.647 million, distributed over 21.427 million shares through 1,595 deals.
