Doha: The Industry Committee of the Qatar Chamber (QC) discussed in a joint meeting with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) the draft industrial strategy, investment opportunities, and infrastructure projects for the Industrial Zone in Mesaieed City, in addition to a proposal on reducing government fees to support the industrial sector. The meeting, chaired by Chairman of the Committee Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al Ansari, and Assistant Undersecretary for Industry Affairs and Business Development at MOCI Saleh bin Majid Al Khulaifi, also discussed the outcome of the Committees previous meeting, and the Ministry's orientations in offering investment opportunities in the waste recycling sector, as well as the industrial sector's proposals regarding the incentives offered to factories to promote value-added industry. The meeting emphasized the importance of communication between various parties to get acquainted with the issues discussed and the recommendations reached in preparation for submitting th em to the relevant authorities, with the aim of promoting growth of the industrial sector in the country.
