In its editorial, Al-Sharq newspaper said that the fruitful talks held Wednesday in Oslo by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani with HM King Harald V of the friendly Kingdom of Norway, and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway Jonas Gahr Store, reflect the strong political will of both countries' leaderships to work together to support economic and trade relations and to enhance cooperation in diplomatic and developmental fields. HH the Amir began a visit to the Republic of Finland, at the conclusion of his current tour in Northern Europe, where HE President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb, welcomed the visit, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. HE emphasized that a close dialogue between the two countries is important, especially because of the security situation in Europe and the Middle East, the newspaper noted. Al-Sharq concluded its editorial by affirming that HH the Amir's tour, which included three Nord ic countries, will have a significant impact on strengthening strategic cooperation and partnerships between Qatar on one hand and Sweden, Norway and Finland on the other. This cooperation will extend beyond these countries by enhancing global peace efforts, given the shared values and mutual belief in the importance of mediation, preventive diplomacy, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts around the world. For its part, The Peninsula newspaper noted in its editorial today the tour of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Sweden, Norway and Finland this week. The landmark visit marks 50 years of Qatar's diplomatic relations with the three countries, the paper said. The newspaper said in its editorial titled "Amir's Landmark Visit" that HH the Amir was in Oslo yesterday on the second leg of his three-nation tour, after his meetings with Swedish leadership in Stockholm earlier in the week. HH the Amir will hold important meetings with Finnish leadership in Helsinki today. The two sides especiall y discussed enhancing ties in the fields of investment, economy, energy, and international cooperation. Another important topic of discussions during the Amir's visit has been The situation in the Gaza Strip among other international and regional issues, the paper added. The newspaper concluded its editorial by saying that HH the Amir's visit will boost country's cooperation with the three countries in diverse fields, especially trade, investments and joint efforts for peace and reconciliation around the world, and will also help Qatar's private sector to explore investment opportunities in those countries and vice versa, as Qatar offers a world-class infrastructure and a promising investment climate with opportunities in multiple sectors.
