Dubai, The pavilion of the State of Qatar, represented by Qatar Tourism (QT), keeps opening its doors to visitors of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024 in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. The pavilion highlights the most prominent events and tourism experiences in Qatar with the participation of 43 partners from the tourism sector. The State of Qatar's participation in the ATM is intended to lend impetus to the process of diversifying national economy in Qatar during the coming years, in alignment with the Qatar National Vision 2030. It also sheds a spotlight on the tourist attractions in Qatar that combine the inveterate cultural patrimony and modernity. Several participants in the pavilion underscored the importance of their participation, with Khalid Muftah from QT's calendar department affirming that the pavilion comes to apprise the visitors, partners, and tourism experts of the tourism sectors progression in Qatar, along with a wide diversity of shows and events. Speaking to Qatar News Agency , Mu ftah highlighted that the public can learn about the Qatar's events calendar either through visiting the website or downloading the "Qatar visit" application on smart phones as two available options available in eight languages. Muftah pointed out that during the current year, the State of Qatar is poised to hold over 80 various events, adding that QT is committed to constantly adjusting and diversifying the Qatar Calendar so as to be adaptive to the aspirations of tourism visitors at home and abroad. He stated that the application offers the events available during 2024, along with a wide diversity of fields, whether they are recreational, sporting, and cultural events, or exhibitions, conferences, and festivals, affirming that QT distributes a monthly calendar to a number of partners, as well as airports, land, and seaports. Executive Officer of the marketing and communications department at Katara Hospitality Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani said the participation of Katara in the pavilion is extremely critical to promote tourism at home and abroad. Speaking to QNA, he added that Katara Hospitality strives to promote tourism sector in the State of Qatar through this participation, as it has over 50 years of expertise in this field. He affirmed that Katara Hospitality embarks on possessing and upgrading numerous hotels worldwide. The ATM will continue until May 9 at Dubai World Trade Centre and offers opportunities for tourism experts in the Middle East to showcase their state-of-the-art products and milestones, along with the advancements made in their tourism destinations and firms.
