Doha: The Qatari delegation participating in the 15th Arab Robotics Championship in Jordan got advanced rankings. Held during April 26 and 29, the event saw the participation of over 400 players from both genders representing a number of Arab countries. The State of Qatar took part in the event with eight teams representing the Qatar Scientific Club (QSC) of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, alongside the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE). Omar Bin Khattab School was ranked first in line tracking (advanced) and won the best presentation skills with Sumaya Primary School For Girl being ranked second, while Al Jazeera Academy Qatar won the title of best poster, with Qatar Academy Doha (QAD) winning the prize of best idea. Meanwhile, Maaz bin Jabal Primary School for Boys won the prize of programming and ball collection (advanced), with Amr Bin Al-Aas Secondary School for Boys being ranked third. Qatar has participated in the Sumo robot wrestling competition represented by Al-Ahnaf Bin Qais Preparatory School for Boys and ball collector competition represented by Maaz bin Jabal Primary School for Boys. The line tracking contest was represented by Omar Bin Khattab secondary School and Sumaya Primary Independent School For Girls. Representative of the State of Qatar in the Arab Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Association (ARA) and the Administrative and Financial Director of the Qatar Scientific Club Fatima Al Mohannadi said Qatar has been committed to repeatedly participating in this championship since its launch, as the event has had profound impact on students in the area of robotics, praising the role played by the organizing committee, along with the ARA's successful efforts in organizing such types of events.
