Doha: The State of Qatar launches the "Doha Dialogue" on labour mobility between Gulf countries and African nations on May 21-22, with participation from 33 countries representing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, Jordan, Lebanon, and 25 African countries. The event will be held ih the presence of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Labour from the participating countries, representatives from the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), as well as experts, academics, and representatives of civil society. This dialogue is part of an agreement between the State of Qatar and the African Union to develop consultative mechanisms between African countries and the Gulf States, Jordan, and Lebanon. It aims to enhance regional cooperation and partnerships and implement best practices to ensure fair labour mobility between the two regions. Source: Qatar News Agency
