The State of Qatar chaired a coordination meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) group participating in the 112th session of the International Labor Conference (ILC2024) in Geneva, Switzerland. HE Assistant Undersecretary for Migrant Labor Affairs at the Ministry of Labor (MoL), Sheikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman Al-Thani, chaired the meeting. In attendance were Their Excellencies representatives of the three production parties in the GCC - governments, employers, workers; HE Director General of the Executive Office of the Council of Ministers of Labor and the Council of Ministers of Social Affairs in the GCC, Mohammed bin Hassan Al Obaidli; several MoL senior officials along with representatives of the Qatar Chamber, QatarEnergy and Karwa Company. The meeting aimed to enhance joint coordination among the GCC delegations to the ILC2024, and to unify GCC positions within international organizations.
