Doha: Qatar on Tuesday called for ensuring the continued flow of unimpeded humanitarian aid to the besieged Gaza Strip. During his meeting with UN Secretary-General Ant?nio Guterres on Tuesday, Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani stressed his country's position, calling for the protection of civilians in the Gaza Strip. He affirmed Qatar's support for the United Nations and international partners' efforts aimed at reaching an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The two sides discussed cooperation between Qatar and the United Nations and the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, especially the humanitarian situation. For his part, the UN Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for Qatar's continuous efforts aimed at a just, comprehensive, and sustainable solution to the Palestinian issue.
