Doha: The Qatari Minister of Sports and Youth Chairman of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 Organizing Committee, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani, commended Jordan's football squad for raising the tournament's technical level. In an interview with Qatari sports media on Tuesday, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa shared his aspirations for the success of the Jordanian team and other Arab squads partaking in the 2023 Asian Cup, expressing his desire for them to advance to later stages of the competition. Furthermore, he praised the performance of the Jordanian team in their recent match against South Korea, highlighting the exceptional skills demonstrated by the (Nashama) players and their impressive display from a technical standpoint. Despite the challenge posed by a strong opponent like South Korea, the team's management under coach Hussein Ammouta, combined with the high level of the players, allowed them to showcase their distinctive abilities, he added. Additionally, the Qatari minister emphasized that the Jordanian team had engaged in friendly matches as part of their preparations for the Asian Cup, which included a notable triumph over the Qatar team in a friendly encounter. Source: Jordan News Agency Two exhibitions were opened on Tuesday in the Khalid bin Al-Walid schools in Al-Mishna district and Al-Watan in Al-Dhahar district in Ibb province, as part of the awareness campaign to boycott American and Zionist goods and products implemented by the Office of Education in support of the Palestinian people under the slogan 'You are not "Alone." The two exhibitions contained many pictures and models introducing products and companies that support the Zionist entity and that must be boycotted. During the opening, the director of the governorate's education office, Muhammad al-Ghazali, and his deputy, Muhammad Al-Mutawakel, explained the importance of implementing awareness exhibitions about the economic boycott of countries that target the nation. They pointed out the importance of implementing such exhibitions within the awareness program within the framework of the boycott campaign in order to achieve societal culture and behavior, explaining that boycott is a form of loyalty to God, His Messenger, and t he believers, which requires standing together in the face of the enemy who is committing the most heinous crimes against the Palestinian people. Al-Ghazali and Al-Mutawakel stressed the importance of activating the boycott of goods, products and companies that support the Zionist-American enemy because of its impact on their economy.
