Baghdad, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia is ready, if necessary, to provide assistance to Iran in order to determine the causes of a major helicopter crash. During his meeting with State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, who traveled to Iran to attend the funeral ceremony, the Russian President said: 'If our colleagues have a need, we are ready to do everything to provide them with expert support and help determine the true causes of this disaster.' Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and a number of their companions died in the plane crash that they were traveling in the day before yesterday, Sunday.
