Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports Bashar Abdullah expressed on Monday the authority's keenness to implement the high directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to support young athletes locally and abroad. Abdullah said in a press statement that the support of His Highness the Amir for the winners of first places in His Highness's Cup is an incentive for all players to achieve more victories. He handed over the Amiri grant for the Amir Cup Championship to the representatives of Qadsiya (title holder), Salmiya (runner-up), Al-Arabi and Al-Tadamon (third place) clubs for the sports season (2023-2024) in the presence of the Secretary-General of Kuwait Football Association Salah Al-Qanaei. He also extended his highest thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Amir for his support, noting the support of the Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah for all athletes.
