Ramallah: Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa chaired a ministerial meeting on Thursday at his office to discuss ways to intensify and strengthen programs aimed at supporting the resilience of Palestinian citizens. During the meeting, ministers reviewed a package of programs, plans, and projects implemented by various ministries and institutions to support citizens, especially in marginalized areas and those most impacted by Israeli measures and settler attacks.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the discussions focused on directing available resources toward priority interventions with a direct impact on people's daily lives. Mustafa emphasized the necessity of a qualitative shift in the government's working approach to enhance flexibility, sustainability, and its response capability while bringing services closer to citizens.

The prime minister highlighted the importance of coordination among government institutions and unifying efforts to ensure more efficient and effective service delivery. He also stated that the government would continue to pursue parallel tracks, including strengthening internal resilience, advancing the national struggle, building state institutions, and intensifying diplomatic efforts to secure further international recognition of the State of Palestine.

On the financial front, Mustafa announced that the proposed 2026 general budget includes a significant increase in allocations for emergency and rapid response measures, rising from about 40 million shekels to 516 million shekels. This step aims to enhance the government's readiness to deal with crises and emergencies while ensuring the continued provision of essential services.
