Ramallah - Ma'an - President Mahmoud Abbas issued a presidential decree regarding the restructuring of the Central Elections Committee, headed by Rami Walid Kamel Hamdallah. The committee's membership includes: Dr. Lamis Al-Alami, Mazen Sissalem, Khawla Al-Shakhshir, Shukri Al-Nashashibi, Ishaq Muhanna, Yasser Musa Harb, Youssef Awadallah, and Ahmed Al-Khalidi. This afternoon, Saturday, the President received the Chairman of the Central Elections Commission, Rami Hamdallah. He stressed the important and central role of the Elections Commission in consecrating the foundations of democracy in Palestinian political life, and what was accomplished by holding all previous elections in accordance with the highest transparency and independence, made the whole world bear witness to the integrity and independence of the Palestinian Central Elections Commission.
