A meeting chaired by Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, head of the Presidential Committee for Confronting Flood Damage, was held in Hodeida on Tuesday to discuss relief efforts for those affected by recent floods. The meeting included the province first undersecretary Ahmed al-Bishri and other local leaders, focusing on the implementation of the emergency response plan to support affected families. The committee addressed challenges in coordinating relief efforts and emphasized the need to enhance the operations room's effectiveness. A special committee for flood emergencies was formed to evaluate ongoing damage and improve preparedness as rainfall continues. Dr. Maqbouli urged all relevant authorities to prioritize road maintenance and flood drainage to prevent further damage. Undersecretary al-Bishri called for responsible planning and follow-up on rainwater drainage systems to mitigate future risks.
