President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Wednesday sent a congratulatory message to Lebanon on the 18th anniversary of its historic victory in the 2006 war against Israel. In his message, President al-Mashat extended congratulations to Lebanon's state, people, army, and resistance, commemorating the significant defeat Israel experienced in 2006. Al-Mashat praised the victory of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, noting its ongoing significance as a symbol of resilience and strength for liberation movements worldwide. He emphasized that the defeat Israel faced in 2006 continues to influence current conflicts, with the Israeli enemy unable to extend the war beyond its previous scope. The President highlighted that the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon is now stronger than before. He reaffirmed Yemen's support for Lebanon and its resistance in the face of the Occupation threats and praised the sacrifices made by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, as well as its support for Gaza.
