President Abbas Meets Turkish Counterpart Erdogan in Doha

Doha: President Mahmoud Abbas met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha. The summit was convened to address the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, President Abbas updated President Erdogan on the latest developments in the Palestinian arena. He emphasized ongoing efforts to engage with various parties to secure an immediate halt to the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid.

President Abbas also expressed his commitment to enhancing the historic bilateral relations between Palestine and Turkey. He highlighted the importance of brotherhood and cooperation in strengthening ties between the two countries and their peoples.
