Post: President Abbas Expresses Condolences on Passing of Yemen’s Former Leader

Ramallah: President Mahmoud Abbas sent a cable of condolences today to Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen, on the death of the second President of the Republic of Yemen, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.

According to Palestine news and Information Agency, President Abbas extended his heartfelt sympathies to the people of Yemen and the family of the late president. The message highlighted the shared grief and solidarity with Yemen during this period of mourning.

Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi served as the President of Yemen and played a significant role in the country's political landscape. His leadership and contributions were acknowledged in President Abbas's message, which emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation during challenging times.

In his cable, President Abbas said, 'We received the news of the passing of His Excellency Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who led the country through a transitional period with competence and dedication.' On behalf of the State and people of Palestine, and in his own name, the President extended his deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to President Rashad al-Alimi, and through him to the government and brotherly people of Yemen, and to the family of the late President. He prayed to God Almighty to grant the deceased His abundant mercy and admit him to Paradise, and to preserve President al-Alimi, Yemen, and its brotherly people in peace, prosperity, and well-being."
