PM Mustafa Engages in Strategic Dialogue with Jordanian Counterpart on Bilateral and Regional Issues

Amman: Jordan's Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan on Tuesday hosted Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa at the Prime Ministry for a comprehensive discussion on issues of mutual concern, highlighting the strong Jordanian-Palestinian relationship and the dedication of His Majesty King Abdullah II to this cause.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the talks underscored Jordan's unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their quest for justice, independence, and the establishment of a sovereign state.

During the meeting, PM Hassan reiterated Jordan's steadfast positions in advocating for the rights of Palestinians to end occupation and achieve their national aspirations. He emphasized the significant place Palestine holds in the hearts of Jordanians, particularly His Majesty, who actively supports Palestinian rights on regional and international platforms, leading to a series of global recognitions of the State of Palestine.

The two leaders discussed the importance of building on international support and the UN Security Council resolution aligned with the US peace plan to reinforce the ceasefire in Gaza. They agreed on the necessity of enabling international peacekeeping forces to ensure stability and create conditions conducive to a political process aimed at a comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution.

PM Hassan committed to continuing humanitarian efforts, including aid and medical support to Gaza through initiatives like 'Restoring Hope,' and providing treatment for injured children and cancer patients. He reiterated Jordan's backing of Palestinian reform efforts and the resilience of the Palestinian people as priorities for achieving their rights and independence.

Jordan's PM condemned Israeli actions against Palestinians and reaffirmed Jordan's dedication to protecting Jerusalem's holy sites under Hashemite custodianship. The dialogue also explored enhancing economic cooperation in trade, industry, agriculture, and energy, with plans to form ministerial committees and business forums to foster partnerships and remove trade barriers.

Prime Minister Mustafa expressed gratitude for Jordan's support under King Abdullah II's leadership, reflecting the close bilateral relations. He updated PM Hassan on the situation in Palestinian territories, efforts to maintain the Gaza ceasefire, and the challenges posed by Israeli actions in the West Bank.
