PM Mustafa Discusses Latest Developments and Joint Cooperation with Singaporean Foreign Minister

Ramallah: Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa met today with Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan at his office in Ramallah, where they discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem. The meeting also focused on ways to enhance cooperation and matters of mutual interest.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Prime Minister Mustafa emphasized that any transitional arrangements in the Gaza Strip must comply with the New York Declaration. He stressed that these arrangements should enable the State of Palestine, through its official institutions, to operate on the ground in the Strip and achieve unity with the West Bank. This approach aligns with the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state.

The Prime Minister provided a detailed briefing on Israel's continued actions that undermine Palestinian efforts. These actions include checkpoints, the occupation of camps in the northern West Bank, daily attacks by occupation forces and colonists, and the withholding of Palestinian tax revenues.

Mustafa valued Singapore's ongoing support for Palestine at all levels and highlighted the importance of joint cooperation to achieve recovery and advance the Palestinian national economy.

The Singaporean Foreign Minister affirmed his country's support for efforts to maintain a sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He also emphasized facilitating the entry of humanitarian and relief aid into the Strip, supporting peace efforts, and achieving a two-state solution. Additionally, Singapore is committed to providing technical support, building Palestinian capacities and institutions, and delivering humanitarian and relief assistance.
