Ramallah: During a phone call today, Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa engaged in discussions with his Spanish counterpart, Pedro S¡nchez, focusing on strategies to increase international pressure on Israel. The discussions aimed at halting the ongoing military actions and the blockade-induced humanitarian crisis affecting the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Prime Minister Mustafa emphasized the critical need to open all crossings into Gaza to facilitate the delivery of essential humanitarian and relief aid. He acknowledged Spain's supportive stance on the Palestinian issue, its advocacy for peace via the two-state solution, and its opposition to Israel's policies and violations in the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and Jerusalem.
The dialogue between the leaders also covered strategies to strengthen bilateral relations and ensure the implementation of the outcomes from the recent New York Conference. Both leaders agreed on the importance of continued coordination to ensure the success of the forthcoming international conference on peacefully resolving the Palestinian issue. This conference, focusing on the two-state solution, is planned to occur alongside the United Nations General Assembly later this month.
