Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh confirmed that US forces are carrying out joint operations with Iraqi security forces against ISIS cells to eliminate what remains of the extremist organization. Singh said in a press briefing that "ISIS still poses a threat to Iraq and Syria, and it is different from what it was in 2014." She added, "We are constantly monitoring the situation, so we are carrying out activities in partnership with Iraqi and Syrian security forces against ISIS cells and their leaders."
