Ramallah: A report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) showed a sharp increase in the Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine during July 2025.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the overall IPI in Palestine reached 84.94 in July 2025, marking a significant increase of 14.34% compared to June 2025, with the base year being 2019 set at 100. This rise in IPI was primarily driven by a notable increase in the activities of the Manufacturing Industry, which surged by 16.01%. The Manufacturing Industry holds a substantial share of 87.89% of the total industry, making it a major contributor to the overall increase.
Additionally, the activities within Electricity, Gas, Steam, and Air Conditioning Supply saw an increase of 6.32%, holding a 7.38% share of the total industry. The activities of Mining and Quarrying also contributed with a 4.73% increase and a 2.89% share of the total industry. Furthermore, the activities related to Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management, and Remediation saw a rise of 4.48%, contributing a 1.84% share to the overall industry.
