Ramallah: An increase in the Trade Balance Deficit for Registered Goods by 34% was observed in January 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, as reported by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, exports experienced an 8% increase in January 2025 compared to January 2024, reaching USD 140.7 million. Exports to Israel saw a notable rise of 21% during the same period, accounting for 90% of the total exports in January 2025. However, exports to other countries decreased by 45% compared to the previous year.
Imports also saw a rise, increasing by 27% in January 2025 compared to January 2024, reaching USD 616.1 million. The imports from Israel increased by 14% and represented 56% of the total imports in January 2025. Meanwhile, imports from other countries surged by 48% compared to January 2024.
