Ramallah: A report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) showed an increase in trade balance deficit for registered goods by 15% in December 2025 compared to December 2024.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, exports in December 2025 increased by 16% compared to the same month in the previous year, reaching USD 190.2 million. Notably, exports to Israel surged by 22% and accounted for 89% of the total exports in December 2025. However, exports to other countries saw a decline of 19% during the same period.
On the imports side, December 2025 saw a 15% increase in goods imports compared to December 2024, amounting to USD 691.1 million. Imports from Israel rose by 24%, making up 59% of the total imports. Meanwhile, imports from other countries experienced a 5% increase compared to the previous year.
The trade balance, reflecting the gap between exports and imports, revealed a 15% rise in the trade deficit for registered goods, reaching USD 500.9 million in December 2025 compared to December 2024.
