The Parliamentary Committee on Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Media approved the second amendment to the Iraqi Media Network Law No. 26 of 2015 as amended, and decided to submit it to the Parliament Presidency for a final vote in the House of Representatives. The Chairman (of age) of the Committee, MP Farouk Hanna, revealed today, Sunday, fundamental amendments to the articles and paragraphs of the law, especially those that carry different aspects, in addition to defining the powers of the Board of Trustees and the Director of the Network, and ensuring that there is no overlap in tasks and powers in order to avoid the emergence of a legal problem that is not consistent with the application of the law. The Committee confirmed that "the amendments that were voted on will put the network on the right track, and serve all its joints and members." Source: National Iraqi News Agency
