New york: The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, has signed a commemorative board to mark the 80th anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Charter. According to Palestine news and Information Agency, the United Nations extended the opportunity for 195 states to participate in this commemorative act. This includes 193 member states and two observer states, the State of Palestine and the Vatican. Each participant had the chance to contribute to the board, reflecting their commitment to the principles enshrined in the UN Charter.
During the signing, Mansour chose to inscribe the word 'Hope' on the board. This choice underscores a connection to the ideals and aspirations that the UN Charter represents, emphasizing a commitment to fostering hope through international collaboration and understanding.
