Palestinian President Initiates Global Campaign to Halt Starvation in Gaza

Ramallah: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has launched a comprehensive international communication campaign aimed at halting the starvation of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. He has expressed grave concerns over what he describes as deliberate actions by the Israeli occupation authorities, labeling them as war crimes for which Israel bears responsibility.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, President Abbas has reached out to world leaders and international organizations, emphasizing the urgent situation faced by the Palestinian people. In his communication, he highlighted the systematic practices of the Israeli government, which he claims are committing acts of genocide, murder, and destruction against the Palestinians, further exacerbating the dire conditions in the Gaza Strip. He warned that these actions are undermining efforts towards a two-state solution and are hindering the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

President Abbas stressed the immediate need for an unconditional ceasefire, the release of hostages and prisoners, and the facilitation of urgent humanitarian aid, including food and medical supplies, to the Gaza Strip. He also called for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area and urged for the State of Palestine to be allowed to take on its full responsibilities. Additionally, he advocated for a halt to settler crimes and attacks on holy sites, and the initiation of a political process based on international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.

In his appeal to world leaders and international organizations, President Abbas underscored the critical nature of the current moment, urging the global community to unite in preventing genocide through killing, starvation, and siege.
