Ramallah: Palestinian Presidency spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh has declared that the Israeli occupation forces' recent aggressive actions in Gaza City represent a dangerous escalation. This situation, he warned, poses a threat to millions of Palestinians and exacerbates the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Abu Rudeineh highlighted the danger posed by Israeli colonies advocating for the burning and reoccupation of Gaza, labeling these actions as new war crimes that add to the existing criminal record of the occupation. He emphasized that the responsibility for this escalation lies with the Israeli government, which is forcing thousands of displaced citizens to flee once again.
Abu Rudeineh reiterated the rejection of these actions by Palestinians and the international community, citing them as war crimes against humanity that are likely to increase tension and instability in the region. He urged the United States to take responsibility and refrain from supporting the continuation of comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people.
The spokesperson also called for an immediate cessation of the conflict, which has resulted in over 200,000 civilian casualties, and urged compliance with international resolutions for a ceasefire, the entry of humanitarian aid, and an immediate Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
