Israeli Forces Raze Palestinian Land, Demolish Walls in Silwan

Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Silwan in occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday and began a wide-scale demolition operation. The Jerusalem Governorate reported that occupation forces began bulldozing land and demolishing the walls of a house and tin roofs in the Bir Ayoub neighborhood of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the demolition activities have heightened tensions in the area, which is already a focal point of conflict due to its proximity to significant religious sites. Local residents expressed concern over the ongoing demolitions and the impact these actions have on the community's stability and heritage.

The operations conducted by the Israeli forces are part of a broader pattern of demolitions in East Jerusalem, which have drawn international criticism and calls for restraint. The situation in Silwan remains tense as local and international observers continue to monitor the developments closely.
