The Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem today demolished a Palestinian-owned house in Beit Hanina neighborhood, north of the occupied city of Jerusalem. The owner of the house, Jamal Idris, said that a large Israeli force stormed the area and his house, which consisted of three apartments, and began to demolish it without allowing their residents to remove their furniture. He said 13 people were displaced as a result of the demolition of the three apartments. The occupation forces also attacked the residents of the house after they tried to prevent the demolition. Idris said the apartments were built nearly 12 years ago, and that the occupation municipality fined him twice while issuing several demolition decisions against the building. He explained that his financial loss exceeded $100,000. Source: Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA
