Ramallah: The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast indicating that the region will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with relatively cold temperatures. The forecast predicts a further drop in temperatures, accompanied by a slight chance of light rain in certain areas. Winds are expected to be light to moderate, blowing from the southwest, while sea waves will remain moderately high. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the PMD has outlined that in the evening and night, the weather will continue to be partly cloudy to cloudy and cold, particularly over mountainous areas. There remains a slight chance of light rain in some regions, with winds shifting from moderate southwesterly to westerly. There is a possibility of scattered rain in some areas, with continued light to moderate southwesterly to westerly winds and moderately high sea waves. A significant change is anticipated on Wednesday as a low-pressure cold front, accompanied by a cold air mass, moves into the region. This will lead to a noticeable drop in temperatures, with widespread showers expected. These showers may become heavy at times and could be accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail. Winds will become active, blowing from the southwest to west, with strong gusts reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h. Sea waves are forecasted to be high during this period. The intensity of the cold front is expected to increase on Thursday, resulting in further temperature drops. The weather will be characterized by cold, rainy, and windy conditions, with rain anticipated across all regions. Some areas may experience heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and occasional hail. Active winds from the southwest to west will persist, and sea waves will remain high. The PMD has issued warnings concerning possible slippery roads and reduced horizontal visibili ty on Monday and Tuesday, urging residents to exercise caution.
