Nablus: The Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday the death of Mohammad Jamal Omar Madani, 25, who succumbed to injuries sustained from Israeli gunfire in Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Ministry affirmed that 25-year-old Mohammed Jamal Omar Madani was shot in the hand with live ammunition and was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Earlier today, Israeli special forces entered the camp using a vehicle with Palestinian license plates and surrounded a house. Additional reinforcements then entered the camp and spread throughout the camp's alleys, firing live ammunition and tear gas canisters. A young man was injured in the hand by live ammunition and was taken to the hospital for medical assistance.
The occupation forces later detained Mujahid Khadish after surrounding his home inside the camp, before withdrawing from the area.
