Post: Palestinian Injured in Attack by Israeli Colonists Near Hebron

Hebron:A Palestinian was injured on Wednesday following an attack by Israeli colonists in Masafer Yatta, an area south of Hebron. The incident was reported by an activist in the region.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the attack occurred in Khirbet Quwaweis, one of the communities within Masafer Yatta. An elderly Palestinian sustained bruises during the assault and was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

Osama Makhamreh, the activist, noted that the assailants caused damage by smashing the doors of a dwelling and destroying surveillance cameras and other property. Following the attack, Israeli occupation forces entered the area and arrested the homeowner of the vandalized residence.

In a related incident, colonists targeted land in the areas of Ighziwiya and Wadi Ma'in, east of Yatta. They stole large quantities of olives from properties belonging to the Abu Toufah and al-Jabareen families. The colonists also broke into an agricultural room, stealing contents including agricultural tools and equipment.

Residents of Khirbet Aqawawis and neighboring areas have been experiencing an increase in colonist attacks. These incidents have intensified notably in recent weeks, coinciding with the establishment of a new colonial outpost approximately four months ago, located just a few dozen meters from Palestinian homes.
