A Palestinian citizen was injured this evening after being violently assaulted by Israeli colonists in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron in the southern West Bank. Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamra reported that colonists from a settlement outpost established on the lands of the Al-Halawah area in Masafer Yatta attacked 24-year-old Mohammad Ahmad Abu Aram, beating him severely and causing various bruises and injuries. The assailants also stole his mobile phone. In a related incident, colonists sprayed racist slogans on the walls of a room belonging to a local Palestinian citizen in the Fateh Sidra area of Masafer Yatta. Colonists have escalated their attacks against Palestinians in the region, attacking citizens' homes, livestock barns, sheepherders and farmers, in an attempt to forcibly evict them from the area.
