Palestinian Injured by Israeli Forces at Military Checkpoint Near Jenin

Jenin: A Palestinian man was injured this evening after being assaulted by Israeli occupation forces at the Barta'a military checkpoint, located west of Jenin in the northern West Bank, according to medical sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that a 57-year-old man was beaten by Israeli soldiers at the checkpoint and was later transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.

Earlier today, Israeli forces raided the town of Barta'a, conducting house-to-house searches, vandalizing properties, and detaining several Palestinian citizens. The Palestinian Prisoners Society reported that the occupation forces carried out a series of detentions in the town, looted money from the homes they raided, and caused damage to the properties, destroying household items in the process.
