Ramallah: The Palestinian government has officially announced the holiday schedule for the upcoming Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha, setting the holiday period from Thursday, June 5, through Monday, June 9. This announcement was made in a statement issued by the Cabinet.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, all government institutions, banks, schools, and a majority of the private sector will observe the holiday during these five days. This period also coincides with the Hajj season, a significant time when Muslims undertake the pilgrimage to Mecca.
The first day of Eid al-Adha is slated for Friday, June 6, marking the beginning of the four-day religious festival. The holiday period is designed to accommodate the celebrations and observances associated with this important event.
