Palestinian Foreign Ministry Condemns Settler Vandalism of Ramallah Water Wells

Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned the recent vandalism of Ein Samia water wells, located northeast of Ramallah, by settlers. The ministry reported that the gates of the water station had also been destroyed in the incident.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the ministry issued a press statement on Monday describing the attack on the water wells as a crime. It highlighted that this incident is part of a wider escalation of attacks by settler militias, which have been targeting Palestinian citizens, their lands, properties, homes, and holy sites across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Similar aggressions were noted in the Kisan desert area of Bethlehem and against citizens and their residences near the Al-Auja waterfall.

The ministry emphasized that the lack of international deterrent measures and genuine pressure on the Israeli government encourages these militias and the extremist officials supporting them to continue perpetrating crimes against the Palestinian people. This, they argue, exacerbates the occupation of the West Bank and threatens to escalate the conflict further.
