Palestinian Emergency Committee Formed to Address Issues in Lebanon

Beirut: The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Lebanon has announced the formation of a Palestinian Emergency Committee to monitor the affairs of Palestinians in Lebanon amid the ongoing Israeli aggression.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Committee was established by the Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammed Al-Asaad. It comprises embassy staff, officials from the Palestine Liberation Organization factions, members of the Palestinian National Security, and representatives from women's and student unions, the Palestine Red Crescent Society, the Palestinian Health Insurance, and the media.

The Committee's primary objective is to oversee and address the needs of the Palestinian people in coordination with the relevant authorities. It aims to enhance communication and coordination with UNRWA, the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, international organizations, and civil society groups, particularly focusing on mitigating the consequences of the aggression in cases of displacement outside the camps.
