Hebron: The Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) announced that Moataz Abu Zneid, a Palestinian administrative detainee from Dura, south of Hebron, has passed away in the Israeli Soroka Hospital.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the two organizations issued a joint statement indicating that the Civil Affairs Authority informed them of Abu Zneid's death, which they described as a new crime committed by the occupation prison system.
With the death of Abu Zneid, the number of prisoners and detainees who have died in occupation prisons since the beginning of the war of genocide has risen to 55. These individuals are the only ones whose identities are known, amidst ongoing enforced disappearances of hundreds of detainees from Gaza. This figure represents the highest number in history during an exceptionally bloody period. The total number of slain prisoners since 1967, whose identities are known, has now increased to 292, as recorded by the Prisoners' Club.
The number of prisoners recognized by the occupation prison administration until the beginning of December exceeds ten thousand and three hundred. Meanwhile, the crime of enforced disappearance continues to affect hundreds of Gaza detainees held in camps associated with the occupation army. Among these prisoners are 89 female detainees, at least 345 children, and 3428 administrative detainees.
