RAMALLAH: Palestinian Minister of Public Works and Housing, Ahed Bseiso, discussed Tuesday with the European Union Representative to Palestine, Alex Stutzman, ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of Gaza reconstruction and strategic projects. Attended by senior officials from both sides, the meeting focused on joint coordination to remove rubble, open roads, and plan temporary housing for internally displaced persons in the war-torn Gaza Strip, in addition to developing projects in the road sector in the northern governorates. Minister Bseiso reviewed the extent of the great destruction inflicted on the Gaza Strip as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression, referring to the government plans for shelter, relief, and reconstruction. He also discussed current projects and the challenges facing the ministry, especially in Area C, which accounts for 60 percent of the occupied West Bank. For his part, the European Union Representative expressed his readiness to enhance cooperation and explore new opport unities for joint work, stressing the continuation of coordination between the two parties in the coming period.
