Pakistan condemns Israeli Parliament’s laws to ban UNRWA’s operations in occupied Palestinian territory
ISALM ABAD: Pakistan has condemned the Israeli parliament’s law to ban the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) inside Israel.
A statement issued by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry tonight said, ‘Pakistan unequivocally condemns Israel’s latest attempt to halt UNRWA’s activities.’
The statement said that with this move, Israel has once again violated international law and the UN Charter, and that obstructing UNRWA’s vital functions is a manifestation of Israel’s systematic campaign to deprive the Palestinian people of humanitarian assistance.
The statement stressed that the international community, especially the Security Council, must hold Israel accountable for its actions, noting that UNRWA’s activities should not be obstructed.
The statement stressed that the international community must also take action to end Israel’s genocidal campaign against the Palestinians in Gaza.
It also pointed out that sustainable peace in the region will not be possible wit
