Jenin: The economic situation in the city of Jenin continues to deteriorate rapidly, with major commercial losses being recorded due to the ongoing Israeli onslaught on the city and its refugee camp, now in its 101st consecutive day. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the aggression has led to widespread business closures and the complete halt of incoming commercial activity from outside the city. Additionally, extensive bulldozing operations and the destruction of infrastructure, particularly roads, have caused significant damage to dozens of shops. Some areas, especially neighborhoods in the western part of the city, are experiencing a total economic paralysis. Since the beginning of the offensive on January 21, 40 Palestinians have been killed, in addition to dozens of injuries and detentions. The occupation forces are still carrying out large-scale bulldozing and demolition operations inside the camp, aimed at altering its character and erasing its physical structure. Access to and from the camp remains restricted, raising concerns after Israeli forces recently installed iron gates at its entrances. Official estimates indicate that every home and structure in the camp has sustained either full or partial damage due to the relentless onslaught and ongoing destruction. In addition to the extensive damage in the camp, Jenin Municipality estimates that 800 housing units in the city have been partially damaged. Fifteen buildings have also been demolished since the beginning of the aggression, with most of the destruction concentrated in the eastern neighborhood and the Al-Hadaf area. Meanwhile, families from the camp, along with hundreds of others from the city and its surroundings, remain forcibly displaced. According to official figures from Jenin Municipality, the number of displaced residents from the camp and the city has exceeded 22,000.
