Occupation Forces Uproot Olive Trees and Bulldoze Agricultural Land East of Qalqilya

Qalqilya: Israeli occupation forces began bulldozing agricultural land in the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, on Tuesday. Local sources reported that the forces stormed the eastern part of the town, particularly the quarry area, and commenced the uprooting of ancient olive trees over a stretch of approximately 500 meters. This action took place surrounding the Ma'ale Shomron settlement, which is built on the town's land, and was carried out without prior warning.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the local sources stated that the uprooting of olive trees and the bulldozing of agricultural land have raised significant concerns among the residents of Azzun and the broader Qalqilya region. The olive trees, considered ancient and significant to the local community, represent not only an economic resource but also a cultural and historical symbol for the town.
